The option to create a Group Buy Event is available for any experience that is performed on a specific date and has a specific location. These events must be sold by tickets, and a minimum number of tickets will need to be sold in order for the event to take place. Certain events may not be viable to hold unless a minimum number of tickets are sold and this allows you to enter a minimum and maximum for your event. For example, you may need a minimum of 4 participants to hold the event, but can handle up to a maximum of 20 participants.
You will also be able to set a deadline to meet the event’s minimum number of tickets. The minimum sell-by date must be at least 7 days before the event date to provide ample time for your customers to know whether the event will occur.
IfOnly will notify you and all customers who have purchased tickets when the minimum number of tickets sold has been reached. You will then be able to proceed with creating and sending your itinerary for the event.
After your Group Buy minimum has been reached, we will continue to sell tickets to your event until the date on which you have asked us to stop selling tickets or until all tickets have been sold out.
You can set up a Group Buy Event in three easy steps:
Step 1: Select whether your event is on a Specific Date or Series of Dates (Customer Chooses Date does not have a Group Buy Event option) and provide the Date, Time(s), and Location of your event.
Step 2: Specify the Duration and the Minimum/Maximum Number of Tickets that you wish to sell.
Step 3: Set your sell-by date for the minimum number of tickets and also the last date for purchasing a ticket to your event.
